Last week I wrote about Gables Station, the new mixed-use development that is going up on US1, with Ponce de Leon Boulevard to its north and LeJeune Road as its southern border. This week, I’ve learned that Trader Joe’s might be one of the commercial tenants in that community. Apparently the grocery chain applied for a Coral Gables building permit on August 3rd, and it is under review. There are no further details from the city, nor has the developer confirmed whether Trader Joe’s has signed a lease for any of the available space within Gables Station. The Pinecrest Trader Joe’s location always seems to be doing a tremendous amount of business, so I can only imagine that a Gables store will also be a success! Stay tuned for more information!
