If the Work From Home and Virtual School life have you down, then the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau has an idea for you! Via its “Play, Work, and Learn Remotely” promotion, the Bureau is encouraging hotels to rent rooms by the day – not by the night – for people who want a change of scenery as they sit on their computer all day long! There are 55 hotels participating, and they are offering discounted rates for use of their rooms from around 10:00-4:00 daily. The hotels are offering amenities like unlimited coffee, high-speed WiFi, use of their printers, room service and pool time as part of their “daycation” rates.
You can check into hotels downtown like the Epic, Coconut Grove’s Mr. C is a participant, or even take your talents to South Beach and camp out at the Ritz for the day. Wherever you go, the hotels will definitely encourage you to stay for dinner to really unwind! With fewer people traveling for work or pleasure, this is a smart promotion for any hotel and a fun change of pace for those stuck at home. Instead of that fake beach background on your Zoom, go ahead and make it the real thing!
