I love to spend time in Key West, and my family rents a house down there every summer. While it is a long drive from Coral Gables to the southernmost island in the US, it is and undeniably beautiful one with views of turquoise water all around! I have actually been known to drive down one evening to have dinner and fun with my family and come back the next morning by the start of business. It is really an amazing way to conduct business with that amazing backdrop! I am not the only one who has noticed how special the Overseas Highway drive is, as it was named one of the most beautiful drives in the world by Big 7 Travel, a travel website.
Although the Overseas Highway was bested by such scenic thoroughfares as the Blue Ridge Parkway (also a personal favorite), the Hana Highway in Hawaii, and Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, it will always hold a special place in my heart! What an amazing gateway to the Conch Republic!
