These eight-foot works of art are inspired by the Venetian poles that were used as canal markers in the early designs of the City of Coral Gables. They were also used to add to the design of the Venetian Pool. Each of these poles from the city’s early beginnings has been given a modern twist. Many different native artists have brought their own fresh and colorful interpretations.
There are 33 poles sponsored by all different people and companies in Coral Gables. In fact, the pole located on 201 Alhambra Circle called Tutti Fruiti Tropical Beauty was sponsored by our very own EWM Realty International. These hand-painted poles have brought a unique blend of history and new art to the vibrant downtown area of Coral Gables. Go take a peek before time is up!
