Mature trees and a well landscaped yard can really add value to your home!
For the last 30 years the National Arbor Foundation has recognized Coral Gables as part of the Tree City USA Community. This is because we take pride in our landscape and we are continuously maintaining and improving our area. I was pleased to find out about a 10-12 month project Coral Gables has taken on to replace 3,000 trees and palms! Not only will they be replacing non thriving trees but they will be adding them to areas that are lacking. A website, http://coralgables.mytreekeeper.com, has been created so that residents can stay informed. It’s quite interesting, listing detailed information such as the water, energy and air quality benefits, in dollar amounts, associated with individual trees. Go on, type in your personal address and see detailed information on your area. This website has information on 38,000 trees in our city!
For more information you can also go to http://www.coralgables.com and search “tree succession project”.
