When I’m not doing real estate, I dedicate a lot of my time to different charity organizations that I love – from helping with Annual Giving at my children’s school to serving on the foundation board of the Junior League of Miami. I’m also involved in a volunteer women’s group called Beaux Arts, working to raise money for the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami. Funds raised by Beaux Arts are used for exhibitions, improvements and acquisitions to the Lowe’s permanent collection. Additionally, funds finance HANDS ON! a community children’s art program that introduces disabled and under privileged Miami-Dade County children to cultural arts. The Beaux Arts volunteers also give children an opportunity to work on various art projects at our Children’s Pavilion located on the University of Miami campus throughout the year.
This year, I volunteered to chair the Beaux Arts Ball, the oldest costume ball in Miami, with my wonderful co-chair Martha Clarke, and the event is this Saturday night! I have been very busy working on all of the final details, and I am certain it is going to be a tremendous success. The theme this year is “Ocean’s Away” and I’ve heard about some of the costumes people are wearing – some of them are incredibly creative!
As part of the event this year, we are holding a raffle drawing with 4 fabulous prizes:
1st Prize: A weekend stay at the Mandarin Hotel in Miami
2nd Prize: $1,000 shopping spree at Neiman Marcus including beauty and bubbly for 5 at favorite cosmetic counter
3rd Prize: iPad with WiFi + 3G
4th Prize: An assemblage of Beaux Arts’ 12 favorite wines (these are truly fabulous wines!)
Tickets are being sold for $25 each or you can buy 5 for $100. You do not have to be present to win, so I invite each and every one of you to support this amazing organization and buy a raffle ticket! If you are interested, please email me immediately and I will coordinate it. The drawing will take place Saturday night, so I need to hear from you no later than noon on Saturday. Thank you for helping to support this amazing organization, and best of luck in the drawing! I am best reached at ashleybcusack@gmail.com!
