Two luxury townhome communities, Pine Manor and Oak Lane, have been built recently in South Miami, offering a nice residential option for people who don’t want a single family home but want to live in town.
Pine Manor is a grouping of 42 townhouses, completed in 2008. This community is tucked behind a privacy wall off of 76th Street and 54th Avenue, and has a Dutch Caribbean Island feel. There are four different models, and each includes a courtyard & sundeck. As of June 1st, this community has sold out of inventory! They still have 5 units pending sale, but there is currently nothing available for sale.
Oak Lane is a gated community with 40 townhomes, and although it is still under construction, sales have started – they currently have 19 units pending sale and the closings should begin at the end of August. This community is the one located off of Red Road & 74th Street – the one you drive by everyday and wonder what is going on with it. It should be noted that the original development was begun when the market tanked and the note on the property was purchased from Colonial Bank. The foreclosure is taking place at the beginning of August, with the original developer, Alan Greenwald, staying on as the project manager. This is why this project remained stagnant for so long and we drove by the shells of the community, wondering what was happening.
Oak Lane units have private patios & yards, spacious interiors, and they also feature underground parking. Units have 3 bedrooms and come with pool & jacuzzi options, and all are elevator, generator & decorator ready. Prices on these units range from $780,000 to $969,000.
