The design for Merrick Manor, a 10-story condo project of the Astor Companies, broke ground last week in Coral Gables. The project, at 301 Altara Avenue, will have 227 residences and 20,000 square feet of retail. The units range from 574-square-foot one-bedroom apartments to five-bedrooms, at 3,500 square feet. They are priced from the upper $400,000’s to $2.3 million. According to the South Florida Business Journal, Astor Companies paid $4.2 million for the site in 2012.
