Top 10 Reasons Why LeBron James Should Pick ME to be His Realtor

Ashley Cusack & Lebron James

According to the Miami Herald on Wednesday the 21st, the realtor community here in Miami is buzzing about the Heat and who will ultimately get the new star as a client.  Rumors are swirling!  Phones are ringing!  Twitter is tweeting!

So in light of all this chatter, I thought I’d put together a “Top 10” list of why the “Chosen 1″ should choose me:

10. Cleveland vs. Miami.  Mistake by the Lake vs. The Magic City. I’d make that same choice, too.
9. Just Ask Boo – I know those guys and can hook you up with all the household help you need!
8. Like you, I’m a competitive athlete with a drive to win.
7. LeBron’s baby mama’s last name is Brinson.  My maiden name is Brinson.  We could be sisters!  Keep it in the family!
6. My husband can teach you to paddleboard or navigate the waters of Biscayne Bay.  And he can even help you with any legal trouble you may encounter in Miami.
5. You are a winner who likes to be with other winners.  EWM is hands down the best real estate firm in Miami.  I’ve got the charts and graphs to prove it.
4. Just like basketball, real estate is a team sport and I’ve surrounded myself with a really great team.  Together we make sure that we anticipate every detail in every deal for every client.
3. I’m in the top ½ of 1% of Realtors nationwide.  I’m good.
2. I work for Warren Buffet.  If he trusts me, so should you.
1. Since 2000, I have personally closed over $230,000,000 in real estate transactions for my clients.

Ok, so maybe LeBron already bought a house, but who could resist?

In all seriousness, welcome to Miami, LeBron!  I’m sure you’ll love living in my hometown!  I’m so thrilled that you are here.  You don’t have to be an NBA Super Star for me to want to work with you.

Beaux Arts Festival Of Art

Beaux Arts

Beaux Arts

I am involved in a wonderful organization called Beaux Arts, and this coming weekend is our 59th annual Festival of Art at the University of Miami!  This FREE family friendly event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, January 9th and 10th, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on UM’s campus, and it’s the oldest juried fine arts show in Miami!  It features more than 250 artists from all over the country.  From paintings and photography to sculptures and mixed media, there is something for everyone!

One of the neatest things about the event is the Children’s Art Park.  Open to children between 5 and 12 years old, the park invites them to create their own works of art while parents are free to stroll around the festival.  Best of all?  There’s no charge for entrance!

Another incredible feature of the event is a Student Artist Showcase, which allows middle and high school student artists from Miami-Dade County the opportunity to display their creations and compete for top recognition.

Come enjoy this beautiful weather while you peruse fabulous art, eat yummy food, and enjoy live entertainment throughout the weekend! All money raised from the event is used to provide museum field trips to underprivileged elementary school students as well as to enhance and maintain the collections at the Lowe Art Museum.

I highly recommend this fun festival and promise you won’t be let down.  Don’t forget to bring the kids!

Rain Rain Go Away!

miami summer rain

This summer, there is no denying that we live in the tropics – the rains down here are unrelenting!  Almost every day, we have been getting a huge rainstorm, usually lasting about an hour. Needless to say, the grass and trees are VERY happy and vibrantly green. But the rest of us are soggy and waterlogged!

Interestingly, the rains seem to be affecting our Sunday open houses. We are finding that the busy ones tend to be the earlier ones. People must be staying home in the afternoons to avoid the terrible rains -and the lighting and thunder that come along with it!
